Certified Restoration Courses and Information:

Target Audience: Maryland property and casualty insurance agents *

Available Certified Restoration Courses:

  • Content Cleaning for Fire & Smoke Damage (MDCE approved – 2 credit hours) – This course is designed to give you a brief overview of cleaning as well as restoring contents of a property that are affected by smoke or fire damage.
  • Water Mitigation (MDCE approved – 1 credit hour) – You will learn to collect insurance claim information as well as take steps required to give an accurate water damage restoration estimate.
  • Fire and Smoke Mitigation (MDCE approved – 1 credit hour) – You will be able to classify the different types of fire and smoke damage and be able to monitor the entire restoration process from start to finish.
  • Mold Remediation (MDCE approved – 1 credit hour) – In this course you will learn the protocols associated with a mold remediation company.
  • Clothing & Electronics Water Restoration (MDCE approved – 1 credit hour) – You will gain knowledge in the restoration of both clothing and electronic items damaged by water.
  • Estate Planning Seminar (MDCE approved – 2 credit hours) *Life/Health credit

You will be pleased to know that there are no exams required to pass the courses above.  In addition to no exams, if you are an insurance agent attending one of these courses, you are not required to pay any fees.
